The wars in Sudan give people the impression that there is nothing more than violence, hunger, drought, despair in the country.............

I visited the pyramids of the ancient Meroe kingdom (between 300 B.C. and 300 A.D.). The shape of these pyramids is different from the well-known Egyptian ones.

These pyramids are on the way from Khartoum to Port Sudan, about 200 km north-east of Khartoum.
